These portfolio reviews offer photographers a unique opportunity to receive professional feedback on their edited work. This can help them better understand the strengths and weaknesses of their editions, identify areas for improvement and refine their artistic vision of their printed object. Critics can also provide advice on how to structure and present a portfolio effectively, as well as guidance on publishing or collaboration opportunities. In addition to critical feedback, portfolio reviews can also serve as a networking platform. Photographers have the opportunity to meet industry professionals, establish contacts, build relationships and explore potential collaborations or career opportunities. These meetings can be invaluable for expanding one's professional network, receiving advice on next steps and discovering new perspectives and opportunities in the publishing field.
The team of the Centre de la Photographie Genève and Photobooks Switzerland will match professionals with participants and announce them as soon as possible.
2 portfolio reviews of 30 min each: CHF 100 (professionals) / CHF 80 (membres CPG, near, Visarte) / CHF 60 for students

MEET THE EXPERTS :
Zhen SHI
Founded in 2015 by French-Chinese artist Zhen SHI, La Maison de Z is a publishing house specializing in visual art and a platform covering various interests, including contemporary photography and independent publications. We see publishing as a way of research to explore the intricate interplay between memory and reality. From concept to design, from visual image to material, we’ve been persistently challenging the boundaries of paper as a vehicle while examining the essence of art books as a media language.
